Being listed and claiming your listing

Being listed on MontessoriCity is free, permanently, whether or not you ever claim it. Claiming your listing — verifying you're affiliated with the school so you can edit its details — is also free and always will be. We don't have a paid subscription tier. You only ever pay for the specific things described below, and only when you choose to.

What you pay for

• $50 per parent lead — charged only when you choose to unlock a specific family's full contact details (name, email, phone, message), after seeing a redacted preview (age band, timing, distance, budget range, and stated priorities) for free. One charge per family per school every 90 days — if the same family reaches out to you again within 90 days of your last unlock, you see their details again at no additional charge.
• $100 per tour booked independently of a lead you've already unlocked. If a family books a tour after you've already paid to unlock them as a lead, the tour itself is free — you've already paid for that family once.
• One free lead unlock every calendar month, automatically, for any claimed listing with a published tuition range. It resets on the 1st and doesn't roll over.

The 7-day guarantee

After you unlock a lead, you have 7 days to mark them "contacted" in your dashboard (we'll remind you after 48 hours if you haven't yet). If there's still no "contacted" mark after 7 days, we automatically refund the $50 and make that family available to another school. This isn't optional or case-by-case on our end — it's an automatic, unconditional part of how the product works, because a lead you never actually contact isn't something you should have to pay for.

Ranking is never for sale

Every school on MontessoriCity — claimed or not, paying or not — is ranked purely by a Bayesian average of its Google rating and review count. Claiming your listing, publishing tuition, unlocking leads, or any other paid or free action never changes your position in search results, city pages, or any ranked list anywhere on the site. There is no mechanism, past, present, or planned, for a school to pay for better placement.

How we handle parent information

A family's contact details are redacted from you until you unlock them (by payment, free monthly unlock, or a tour tied to an already-unlocked lead). We never sell or share a family's information with any other school, advertiser, or third party — an unlocked lead is visible only to the specific school the family chose to be introduced to (families choose up to 3 schools per match). Families can request their data be deleted at any time by emailing hello@montessoricity.com.

Editing your listing

Once claimed, you're responsible for the accuracy of what you publish — description, tuition, photos, CWELCC status, and other details. We reserve the right to correct or remove content that's false, misleading, or violates applicable law, and to un-verify a claim if we later determine it wasn't made by someone actually affiliated with the school. Accreditation badges (AMI/AMS/Montessori Canada) are never self-reported — they're sourced only from the accrediting bodies' own official directories, and you can't edit them from your dashboard.

Cancellation

There's no subscription to cancel and no lock-in period — you can stop using paid features (lead unlocks, tours) at any time simply by not using them; there's nothing to turn off. If you'd like your listing unclaimed or removed from the directory entirely, email hello@montessoricity.com and we'll action it within a few business days.
